Medical Museum

The Medical Museum is housed in small room which was once part of the Hammam or Turkish Bath. It has elegant Moorish arched doorways and a barrel vaulted ceiling inset with stained glass roundels.

Exhibits include the slab once used for Vichy Douche massage treatments, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy equipment such as radiant heat lamps and Zotofoam bath equipment.

The museum also features an ‘apothecaries cabinet’ containing a display of historic and contemporary medical equipment ranging from acupuncture needles to dental keys and drug jars.

Finally, don’t miss out on a simulated shower in the replica needle shower.
